Patbingsu Green Tea from Cafe Insadong

With the influx of Korean cafes and their shaved ice desserts recently, I decided to try the Patbingsu Green Tea from Cafe Insadong. Patbingsu is basically a shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings that include fruits, condensed milk, syrup and azuki beans.

In Cafe Insadong, their patbingsu ranges between $8.50 to $9 with a few selection of flavours to choose from. Needless to say, I chose mine in Green Tea and toppings include almond slices, red dates and tiny globs of sticky rice cake.

You can read about how patbingsu is made here.

Matcha Latte at Tart Blanc

For a place that prides itself on tarts, I was surprised how much I like their matcha latte. Not too sweet or too milky, but just the way I like it - frothy, smooth and intense!

Tohato Choco Meliza Matcha

Purchased at Mizuki Japan, Bugis Street, a box costs $3.80 and contains 16 individually packed pieces.

In each individual pack, there are 2 wafer-thin like pieces coated with chocolate and matcha cream on the exterior of the matcha biscuits. Both the matcha and the chocolate scent and taste are subtle yet blends well to give the right punch.

I actually enjoyed having them when my tummy is rumbling because it does satisfy slight hunger pangs during tea-break.
