A dear friend has gotten a box of the Morinaga Dars Uji Matcha, specially for me, knowing that I am a great matcha fan. The outer box packaging is thoughtfully made, with the box being opened when you tilt it at a 90 degree angle. Tear open the foil paper packaging in the box, slide out the tray to reveal 12 tiny bite-sized chocolate bars.
With a hint of dark bitter cocoa, the chocolate has a subtle matcha taste. It is said that the matcha is from Uji in Kyoto.
I love the combination of the flavourful chocolate infused with good quality matcha and the taste is just potent.
At $2.50, one can certainly afford it to brighten up on your dull days.
